Box of bee fondant with 5 x 2.5 kg FondabeeFruc. FondabeeFruc is a ready-to-use bee fondant in a 2.5 kg pack. The fondant stands out by the addition of 3% fructose. This makes it more resistant to warm and very cold weather (it stays soft). Of course, it also contains the ideal mix of sugars for bees so they readily take it up. The fondant is nicely firm so it doesn't run out of the bag. The ratio is approximately 83.5% sucrose, 3% dextrose, 2% maltose, 11.5% higher saccharides. FondabeeFruc is produced in Belgium by Belgosuc under strict human food standards. Note: cheaper brands sometimes have a different composition. A high HMF content is toxic to bees.

You can easily feed the fondant to the bees by piercing/cutting an opening in the package with a hive tool. Then fold back or tear off the plastic tab and place the opening over the feed hole of the crown board.
