In beekeeping, smoke is often used to calm the bees. The bees think there’s a fire and fill up on honey. Because they’re laden with this precious cargo, the bees are less defensive. In the smoker or smoker pipe, various types of smoker fuel—from herbs to blocks—can be used to produce smoke! For example, there’s a smoker fuel made primarily from tobacco scrap, and a smoker fuel made of hay, and how about a blend of dried grasses, optionally scented with, for example, lavender? In short, choose your preferred smoker fuel!
