The fondant is an ideal mix of sugars for bees so they consume it steadily. The fondant is nice and firm so it does not run out of the bag. The ratio is approximately 83.5% sucrose, 3% dextrose, 2% maltose, 11.5% higher sugars. Fondabee is produced in Belgium by Belgosuc to strict food-grade standards. Note: cheaper brands sometimes have a different composition. A high HMF (hydroxymethylfurfural) content is toxic to bees. Also available individually or per box.

You can easily feed the fondant to the bees by piercing/cutting an opening in the packaging with your hive tool. Then fold back or tear off the plastic tab and place the hole over the feed hole in the crown board.

This product is equivalent to Ambrosius fondant and Apifonda.
