Box of fondant feed with 12 x 1 kg Fondabee. Fondabee is a ready-to-use bee fondant in 1 kg packs. The ideal pack for 3-frame nucs and MiniPlus nuc boxes, etc. The fondant is an ideal sugar mix for bees so they take it up steadily. The fondant is firm so it doesn’t run out of the bag. Composition is approx. 83.5% sucrose, 3% dextrose, 2% maltose, 11.5% higher sugars. Fondabee is produced in Belgium by Belgosuc under strict human food-grade standards. Note: cheaper brands sometimes have a different composition or a high HMF (hydroxymethylfurfural) content, which is toxic to bees.
You can feed the fondant to the bees easily by piercing/cutting an opening in the wrapper with the hive tool. Then fold back or tear off the plastic tab and place the hole over the feeder hole of the inner cover.
