Box of sugar dough with 5 x 2,5 kg of FondabeeFruc. FondabeeFruc is a ready-to-use sugar dough in a pack of 2,5 kg. The sugar dough is distinguished by the addition of 3% fructose. This makes it more resistant to hot and very cold weather (it retains its softness). Of course, it also consists of the ideal mix of sugars for the bees so they absorb it well. The sugar dough is pretty solid though so it doesn't run out of the bag. The ratio is about 83.5% sucrose, 3% dextrose, 2% maltose, 11.5% higher sugars. FondabeeFruc is produced in Belgium by Belgosuc under the strict rules for human consumption. Please note that cheaper brands sometimes have a different ratio. High HMF content is toxic to bees.
Simply feed the sugar dough to the bees by poking/cutting an opening in the container with the hive chisel. Then fold or tear off a plastic tab and place the hole on the feeding hole of the cover board.
