The Segeberger Simplex hive is very suitable for the beekeeper who does not want to lift heavy. Because the Segeberger cabinets are made of styropor (compressed styrofoam), they are much lighter than wooden hives. The white, unpainted hives are easy to paint and provide good insulation, which in turn reduces feed consumption by the bees. Segeberger hive dimensions
Our Segeberger cabinets have the same inside dimensions as a spaarkast. Dit betekent dat je ook de Simplex windows and Simplex kunstraat can use for the Segeberger hive. So you can very easily transfer windows from a wooden Spaarkast into a Segeberger hive. Please note that the outer dimensions are different. The Segeberger material does not fit on a wooden saving hive! A Segeberger hive has raised edges on the hive parts so they fall in/on top of each other.
Which Segeberger cabinet fits me best?
Within our offer you have the choice of different composed Segeberger cabinets. For example, you can choose from a standard cabinet (Easy), of een zeer complete Deluxe version. The Easy version includes all the standard components of a hive, such as: a Segeberger honey room and brood chamber (including spacer strips), a (varroa) bottom and a roof. In our Deluxe version, this also includes a Segeberger feeding bowl at. New to our range, is the choice of different options when ordering a Segeberger hive. So you can choose whether you want to buy just all the basic components, or a Segeberger cabinet with all the trimmings. The choice is yours!
