The Segeberger Simplex hive is very suitable for the beekeeper who does not want to lift heavy. Because the Segeberger cabinets are made of styropor (compressed styrofoam), they are much lighter than wooden hives. The white, unpainted hives are easy to paint and provide good insulation, which in turn reduces feed consumption by the bees.
