Beekeeper gloves

Working with gloves prevents bee stings. Still, not every beekeeper wants to work with gloves, nor is it always necessary. Hier mee sluit je de handschoen goed af op je imkerkleding and prevent bees from crawling into the glove.

Leather glove

Our leather gloves are made of supple cow leather of the right thickness. They fit snugly around your hand and give good protection. This makes working with your hive very pleasant. Over time, they will take on the shape of your hand. Often you will no longer feel like your gloves are in the way. Leather gloves are available with and without extra ventilation. With leather gloves, make sure they are not too tight. If the leather is tight on the skin, the bees can sting through it in some cases.

Rubber glove

A rubber glove is very nice when you have to deal with moisture, for example in the early morning or in winter. Your gloves will not get wet inside and your hands will stay dry. In addition, a rubber glove is very thick and you can be assured that you will almost certainly not get a bee sting. These rubber bee gloves are also available with and without ventilation. A disadvantage can be that they ventilate less and, especially when it is hot and dry outside, your hands can get clammy. If you do not like that, it is better to choose leather gloves.

What size should I choose?

Choosing the right size bee gloves can sometimes be tricky. That's why we are happy to help you with it! When choosing a glove, it is important to measure the width of your hand. You do this by measuring the width of your palm, across the four knuckles of your hand. This corresponds to a size (for example, XL) in the size chart. Can't figure it out? No problem!
