Mini Bee Smoker

Stainless steel bee smoker with an 8 cm diameter and a total height of 21 cm. Excellent small smoker for the beginner with a few colonies. Supplied with a heat shield and quality bellows.

How do you light a smoker?
Start with an easy-to-ignite base. First place a wad of paper/dried leaves/pine needles (and optionally a smoker fuel block) in the smoker and light it to create an open flame, then use the bellows to build it up. Gently smother this strong flame with tobacco (or smoker pellets). Keep pumping well with the bellows at the beginning. Especially for smoker pellets you need a really good fire to get them going. Then close the lid and pump regularly to keep the smoker running. The aim is to produce generous amounts of cool, white smoke. Do not use blue smoke; it is too hot, can cause irritation, and can scorch the bees’ wings. The herbal smoker fuel / smoker fuel blocks are a bit easier for beginning beekeepers.
