Hanging Asian hornet trap to control the invasive alien species Vespa velutina. A robust, well-made trap that works excellently for the Asian hornet. If you want to be even more selective, we also sell caps to minimise European hornets entering the trap. In spring 8.5 mm caps for queens, and in autumn 8 mm caps for workers. A highly effective advanced trap. The hornets are first attracted by the lure, then by the light from the two transparent containers. They remain trapped there. When the hornets get stuck here, pheromones are released that attract other hornets even more, which makes this trap extra effective.

Since insects/hornets lured into the trap do not come into contact with the lure, this is a hygienic control method.

Instructions for use:

• Assemble the trap.
• Pour the lure into the trap and moisten the white lines next to the openings with it.
• For first-time use, fill the trap with 400 ml of liquid.
• Hang the trap strategically along hornet flight paths, preferably in the shade. Avoid direct sunlight if possible.
• Replenish the lure in time to maintain the trap’s effectiveness.
