Polystyrene Zander hive, made of expanded polystyrene ("Styrofoam"). The material is identical to the material of the Segeberger hives but is sturdier. This is due to the heavier pressing. This design makes the hive extremely sturdy yet light.
The cabinet consists of:
- a roof
- an incubator
- two honey rooms
- intermediate floor with 7 ventilation openings and 8 flight openings
- a bottom
