Phacelia is best sown in a spot with full sun, though partial shade is also acceptable. Phacelia tolerates drought well and even germinates more easily in somewhat drier soil compared to moist soil. The seeds germinate after approximately 2 weeks at around 16 degrees Celsius. After 8 weeks, Phacelia can be in bloom and then produces abundant pollen and nectar for bees, butterflies, bumblebees, and numerous other insects. When the plant receives sufficient moisture, it produces a lot of nectar, while in dry conditions it produces only pollen.
Sowing time: from March until the end of August.
Sowing density: 100 grams per 100 m2.
