Steam wax melter for in the beehive

With this universal steam wax melter, you can very easily melt the wax out of your hive frames. This melter fits in a brood box of the Spaarkast size and many other hives. By placing a roof and an extra brood box / honey super on the brood box and placing a collection tray (for the melted wax) under the brood box, you ensure that the hive is sealed. This allows the steam to remain in the hive and automatically melts the wax out of the frames placed in the brood box.

This steam wax melter has dimensions of 50 x 50 cm and is 14 cm high. The outer edge of the melter protrudes from the brood box of the Spaarkast, but this ensures a good seal. It fits in any beehive where it can rest on the edge of the hive. This would be an outside dimension of the hive of approximately 51.5 x 51.5 cm. The steam wax melter comes with a Stoommaster II and the steam wax melter includes a small grid for catching debris.
