The ideal 11-frame beehive for the starting beekeeper who wants to begin beekeeping with this hive. The BeeFun beehive is unpainted and can easily be painted in any color. It is a completely redesigned model. This model has many advantages compared to the classic Segeberger. This beehive is made of polystyrene and has a density of 160 g/l. This dense molding of the BeeFun polystyrene spaarkast hives results in a sturdier beehive than, for example, the Segeberger hive. This makes these boxes extremely robust. In addition, thanks to the smart design they are generally even lighter than, for example, Segeberger hives. The insulating performance is excellent.
Design upgrades include:

- Roof with extended drip edge + feeder recess
- Spacing rails instead of spacers for easy handling
- Can be supplied painted

This 11-frame beehive consists of the following components:
- 1 roof with feeder space
- 1 plastic crown board
- 1 honey super with 1 entrance opening
- 1 brood box with 2 entrance openings
- 1 floor
- 1 varroa tray
- 1 entrance reducer
The boxes in this beehive are fitted with spacing rails instead of spacers. This makes sliding and moving the hive frames very easy. This beehive (internal 39.9 x 43.6) performs best with simplex Hoffman frames or simplex frames fitted with spacers. In addition, the brood box has an extra entrance opening. This can be opened during a good nectar flow and the bees will then use it eagerly. This entrance can also be closed or set to ventilation mode. This beehive is supplied unpainted.
