The charm of bees cream

Swarm lure by 'Le charme des abeiles' for attracting swarms into a hive or skep. This works best when a hive is placed about 25 meters from the apiary.


How do you use the paste?
Apply the paste to a piece of wood, preferably oak bark. Place that piece of wood in a tree, for example, or apply the paste to the outside of an empty hive without frames. Hang the oak bark or a bait hive about 10 meters from the current hives. The bees will pick up the scent, increasing the chance they choose this spot as their new home. If the wood has become wet from rain, it's best to reapply the lure. The scent remains effective for about a week.
