This beautiful seagrass swarm skep is both a pleasure to look at and a practical tool. A swarm skep has the advantage of being wide, making it easy to capture a swarm. Being lightweight and fitted with a handle, it is very easy to handle. This swarm skep is made in the two poorest provinces of Bangladesh: Rangpur and Bogra. The product is Fairtrade certified and with this purchase you support the families there. The seagrass and the natural materials used are harvested in such a way that no harm is done to the environment.

Dimensions: 35 cm high, 30 cm wide at the base (dimensions may vary per skep because it is handmade). The handle of the swarm skep is made of rope or reed (may vary), making it easy to lift.

As an alternative to the swarm skep there is also the swarm collection bag that can be mounted on a pole. Very handy for catching a bee swarm in a tall tree.
