Segeberger beehive, made of polystyrene, in the NL Segeberger simplex/spaarkast frame size. The advantage of a polystyrene Segeberger hive is its low weight and excellent insulation. This hive makes beekeeping easier when weight matters. Hive frames from a spaarkast fit perfectly in a Segeberger hive. The hives are produced in Germany.
Along with this quality beehive you also receive a handy hive record card for tracking colony data.
All components are suitable for the Dutch simplex sizes. The set can be expanded with other floors and optionally a metal roof. Note: 1 hive per parcel + shipping per hive.
Choose from 4 different options:
Option 1 consisting of:

- Hive record card (art. 2189)
Option 2 consisting of option 1 + :
- Segeberger aluminum 11-frame hardware set (art. 2403).
Because the aluminum frame rests do not flex, the frames fit tighter in the hive with this hardware than with plastic frame rests, which are more flexible. It can be helpful to shorten the frame lugs slightly so the frames can be taken in and out of the box a little more easily.
Option 3 consisting of option 1, 2 + :
- simplex brood box frames, assembled pine, horizontal wiring (art. 5575) 11 frames
Option 4 consisting of option 1, 2, 3 + :
- In the brood box frames with embedded beeswax foundation
- Strap/travel strap 3.5m bee yellow (BeeFun) (art. 2723)
NOTE: embedding wax foundation is shipped at the customer's risk due to the fragility of the embedded beeswax foundation.
