Applications ApiPollenThe use of special feed for pollen substitutes is recommended for bee colonies with brood.Processing ApiPollen into patties:Making patties/dough: Mix 175 g ApiPollen with 825 g sugar water (various combinations between honey, HFCS, sugar, are possible), at temperatures up to 40°C. The consistency should be a paste that is processed in bags or sheets of wax paper and remains on top of the hive frames. This allows the bees to consume the feed properly.Feeding ApiPollen as dry food:Place the product in a container with holes so the bees can pass through. Add a few pieces of wood or non-slip material to provide them shelter. Offer approximately 700 g of ApiPollen in dry form, per colony, and protect the product against wind and moisture.Adding ApiPollen to sugar water, thus combining it with a liquid, unfortunately does not work well because the product can quickly start to ferment or become a very sticky substance that bees have difficulty handling.
