Best-before date = 16/05/25, the dry pollen contents are still perfectly fine.

ApiPollen feed for honey bees is specially developed as a replacement for natural pollen. You can easily supplement protein in the hive and help the bees regain strength during periods when pollen is scarce. This will reliably improve colony development, regardless of the weather. The feed is easy to provide via a frame feeder in the hive or by means of a feeder silo. Choose our pollen substitute to provide your honey bees with the nutrition they need to boost their health and resilience. The handy bucket contains 2 kg of pollen substitute. This product is comparable to Beefeed or Ultrabee.

Apipollen has the advantage that the ingredients are perfectly balanced and tailored to the needs of the bees, without deficiencies or excesses. It contains: soy and yeast protein (58% pure protein), vitamins: B1, B2, B6, B12, PP, C, A, D3, E; mineral complex: Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn, Co, P, vegetable fats, essential plant oils, citric acid, antioxidants, probiotic bacteria.

Note: do not leave the product not in the hive if there is no brood.

ApiPollen applications
Using a dedicated pollen substitute is recommended for bee colonies with brood.

Making ApiPollen patties:
Making patties/dough: Mix 175 g ApiPollen with 825 g sugar syrup (various combinations of honey, HFCS, and sugar are possible) at temperatures up to 40°C. The consistency should be a paste that is packed in bags or on sheets of wax paper and placed on top of the hive frames. This allows the bees to consume the feed easily.

Feeding ApiPollen as dry feed:
Place the product in a container with holes so the bees can access it. Add a few pieces of wood or anti-slip material to provide them with shelter. Offer approximately 700 g of ApiPollen in dry form per colony, and protect the product from wind and moisture.
Adding ApiPollen to sugar syrup, i.e. combining it with a liquid, unfortunately does not work well because the product can quickly start to ferment or become a very sticky substance that bees struggle to handle.
