This half honey super is ideal to help beekeepers manage honey production. By limiting the bees to a smaller space, it becomes easier for them to store honey and the beekeeper can better predict production. It can also be useful when harvesting honey. If the beekeeper has opened only one half of the honey super, they can easily remove that half and harvest the honey without disturbing the bees that are still in the other half of the honey super. A half honey super can be placed on top of a brood box (brood chamber).
