Sulfur strips / sulfur sticks are used for sulfuring an extremely aggressive bee colony. This allows you to quickly eliminate the colony. This can be a solution when the bee colony is truly no longer manageable. Other alternatives to sulfuring include letting the bee colony fly away or offering them for use in greenhouse horticulture.

Another reason for sulfuring a bee colony could be that there is a contagious and incurable disease in the colony. As a beekeeper, you don't want the colony to infect another colony. By sulfuring, the sick colony is quickly put out of its misery.

Instructions for sulfuring a bee colony:
1. When using a skep: The beekeeper places the skep over a hole in the ground where the sulfur is burned. Make sure the entrance is closed.
2. When using a beehive: The beekeeper places an empty hive body on top of the colony with the sulfur burning inside an empty tin can or similar container. Ensure that the entrances are well sealed. Within a few minutes, the colony will be gone.

Price per sulfur stick / sulfur strip (1 piece). After lighting, the sulfur sticks burn up by themselves.

(Note: only use these products with the necessary knowledge, the fumes are also toxic to humans and other animals!)
