MiniPlus plastic single-frame box (BiVoPad)

The BiVoPad is an innovation over earlier successful mating hives, with several improvements. The BiVoPad is particularly suitable for use at mating stations, especially because it uses a standard frame size already widely used in beekeeping. The ¼ Dadant size is already used in the Mini-Plus hive. When the plastic frame is used, this frame can be easily slotted together and inserted in a hive as comb. The frame can also be placed in a Mini-Plus hive after the queen is mated.

The use of the BiVoPad in preschools and schools deserves special attention. Very few children have ever seen a bee colony up close, usually only in films. With the BiVoPad, however, children get the chance to experience a small bee colony up close, making the colony visible as an organism, from the queen to the workers and drones.

Imagine that during biology lessons about bees a BiVoPad is available, allowing each child to observe a colony and giving the teacher a basis to make the interconnectedness of bee life visible to the children.

Our youngest adventurers in preschool can have a safe experience with bees, without adults’ worries about discomfort and stings.

At markets, the mating and teaching hive is an excellent visual stimulus for sales and attracts customers.

The feeder has a capacity of approximately 200 ml / 280-300 grams and provides feed for the entire mating period. The feeder can be replaced.
