Spaarkast beehive made of green-painted polystyrene by the BeeFun brand. The ideal 11-frame beehive for beginner beekeepers. The BeeFun beehive is ready to use and painted green. It is a completely redesigned model and offers many advantages compared with the classic Segeberger. This beehive is made of polystyrene with a density of 160 g/L. This high-density pressing of the BeeFun polystyrene spaarkast hives makes for a sturdier hive than, for example, the Segeberger hive. This pressing makes these hives rock-solid. In addition, thanks to the smart design they are generally even lighter than, for example, Segeberger hives. Thermal insulation is excellent.

- 2 honey supers green painted (with extra entrance)
- Intermediate floor green painted (with ventilation blocks)
- Brood box green painted (depending on stock, with or without entrance holes)
- Bottom board green painted with varroa tray
- Entrance reducer

In addition to this great beehive you also receive a handy hive record card to keep track of colony data.
Note: it can occasionally happen that the top bars of your hive frames are a millimetre too long. You can easily solve this by lightly sanding/cutting the top bars of the frames. The maximum length for the top bar in this beehive is 43.3 mm.

The hive boxes in this beehive are fitted with frame runners instead of spacers. This makes sliding and moving the frames very easy. This beehive performs best with Simplex Hoffmann frames or Simplex frames fitted with spacers. Additionally, the brood box (brood chamber) can be fitted with extra entrance holes. These can be opened during a good nectar flow and are then eagerly used by the bees. This entrance can also be closed or set to ventilation mode. This beehive is delivered ready to use, painted green (without cover board).
