Bees. Until recently, they were mostly mentioned in the same breath as flowers when talking about reproduction. Today, bees are increasingly synonymous with die-offs.

Honey bees have long been valued for the honey they produce. In the past, they were also useful for the beeswax with which bees build honeycomb, and with which people made candles or waterproofed boats or kitchenware. However, the most important function of bees is the pollination of flowers. If bees disappear, many flowers will no longer be pollinated—not only in nature, but also in our fields and orchards.
