Spaarkast hive made of blue lacquered polystyrene by BeeFun®. The ideal 11-frame hive for the beginning beekeeper. The BeeFun hive is ready to use and painted blue. It is a fully redesigned model and offers many advantages over the classic Segeberger. This hive is made of polystyrene with a density of 160 g/L. This high-density pressing of the BeeFun polystyrene spaarkast hives results in a sturdier hive than, for example, the Segeberger hive. This pressing makes the hives extremely robust. In addition, thanks to the smart design they are generally even lighter than, for example, Segeberger hives. The insulation performance is excellent.

- Honey super Spaarkast blue lacquered polystyrene with extra entrance (art. 2269)
- Intermediate floor Spaarkast blue lacquered polystyrene (art. 2271)
- Brood box Spaarkast blue lacquered polystyrene without extra entrances (art. 2288)
- Bottom board Spaarkast blue lacquered polystyrene with varroa tray (art. 2272)
Tip:
- plastic inner cover (product 2155) for the polystyrene hive.
- spacer strips set 11-frame alu. for the BeeFun polystyrene spaarkast hive.
In addition to this fine hive you also receive a handy hive record card for tracking colony data.
Note: it can happen that the top bars of your hive frames are a millimetre too long. You can easily fix this by lightly sanding or sawing down the top bar of the frames. The maximum length for the top bar in this hive is 43.3 mm.
