Beroker Large Deluxe 30 cm

This beroker Groot from the Deluxe series is made of stainless steel, has a diameter of 10 cm and a total height of 30 cm. The beroker is neatly finished and made of very solid material. This model has a fine mesh protection grid so that the hot parts are difficult to touch. Furthermore, the bellows are made of sturdy yellow artificial leather. The inside has a grate for optimal aeration of the fuel.

How do you light a beroker?
Make sure you have a good ignitable base. First place a wad of paper/dried leaves/pine needles (and possibly a smoke cube) in the beroker and light it to create an open flame, which you grow with the bellows. You carefully extinguish this substantial flame with tobacco (or smoke pellets). In the beginning, keep pumping well with the bellows. Especially for smoke pellets you need a really good fire for a while. Then close the lid and pump regularly to keep the beroker going. The idea is to produce ample amounts of cool, white smoke. Do not use blue smoke, which is too hot which can lead to irritation and scorch bees' wings. The kruidentabak / rookblokjes work a little easier for beginning beekeepers.
