Bee Smoker Large Deluxe 30 cm

This Large smoker from the Deluxe series is made of stainless steel, has a diameter of 10 cm and a total height of 30 cm. The smoker is neatly finished and built from very robust materials. This model has a fine-mesh protective guard so the hot parts are difficult to touch. In addition, the bellows are made of sturdy yellow synthetic leather. The interior includes a small grate for optimal airflow to the fuel. 

How to light a smoker?
Start with a good, easily ignited base. First place a wad of paper/dried leaves/pine needles (and optionally a smoker fuel block) in the smoker and light it so an open flame forms, which you build up with the bellows. Gently smother this strong flame with tobacco (or smoker pellets). Keep pumping well with the bellows at the start. Especially for smoker pellets you need a really good fire first. Then close the lid and pump regularly to keep the smoker going. Aim to produce generous amounts of cool, white smoke. Do not use blue smoke; it is too hot, can cause irritation and can singe the bees’ wings. The herbal tobacco / smoker fuel blocks are a bit easier for beginner beekeepers.
