Steam beeswax melter for use in the beehive

With this universal steam wax melter you can easily melt the beeswax out of your hive frames. This melter fits in a brood box of the spaarkast size and many other hives. By placing a roof and an extra brood box / honey super on the brood box and a collection tray (for the melted wax) under the brood box, you ensure the hive is sealed. This allows the steam to stay in the hive and the wax automatically melts out of the hive frames placed in the brood box.

This steam wax melter measures 50 x 50 cm and is 14 cm high. The outer rim of the melter therefore protrudes beyond the spaarkast brood box, which ensures a good seal. It fits any beehive where it can sit on the rim of the hive. This corresponds to an external hive dimension of approximately 51.5 x 51.5 cm. The steam wax melter is supplied with a Stoommaster II, and inside the melter there is a small screen for catching debris.
