Inner can for bee smoker medium/large

Inner can for medium and large smokers. This stainless steel inner can is 200 mm high incl. pin and has a diameter of 94 mm. Ideal as a spare or replacement inner can in a medium or large smoker. The inner can ensures better oxygen access to the burning fuel.

How do you light a smoker?
Start with an easily ignitable base. Place a wad of paper/dried leaves/pine needles (and optionally a smoker starter block) in the smoker and light it to create an open flame, which you build up with the bellows. Gently smother this strong flame with tobacco (or smoke pellets). Keep pumping the bellows well at the start. Especially for smoke pellets you need a good hot fire first. Then close the lid and pump regularly to keep the smoker going. The goal is to produce generous amounts of cool, white smoke. Do not use blue smoke; it is too hot, can cause irritation, and can scorch the bees’ wings. The herbal tobacco / smoker starter blocks are a bit easier for beginning beekeepers.
