The frames are fitted with stainless steel wire, strung horizontally, and have brass eyelets to prevent corrosion during formic acid treatments. These frames fit both the spaarkast and simplex hive.

Frames with embedded beeswax foundation are shipped at the customer's risk due to the fragility of the beeswax foundation.
