Propoleum, 1 liter

Both exterior and interior surfaces are best painted at least 2 times. Propoleum soaks into the wood tremendously fast so this can be done all at once. Start on the inside and then work outward. When the wood absorbs almost no more Propoleum the hive is saturated and painting can be completed.

Propoleum is a stain that does need to be maintained which means repainting annually. Why paint the inside of the hive? Propoleum stain ensures that condensation can hardly enter the hive because of the moisture repellent effect. This in turn causes the wood to absorb less moisture which prevents rotting, mold and shrinking and stretching. This makes the cabinet last longer and it stays beautiful. Propoleum is also very suitable for birdhouses, beehives, etc.

Tip: let brush dry after use. Once dipped back into the propoleum, the brush is usable again.
