The ideal 11-frame beehive for the beginner beekeeper who wants to work with a lightweight hive. The BeeFun beehive is ready to use and unpainted (white). It’s a completely redesigned model and offers many advantages over the classic Segeberger. This BeeFun beehive is made of polystyrene with a density of 160 g/l. This high-density foam makes for a sturdier hive than, for example, the Segeberger hive and makes these hives rock-solid. Thanks to the smart design they are even lighter than Segeberger hives. Thermal insulation is excellent.

This 11-frame beehive consists of the following parts:

  • 1 Roof with feeder space
  • 1 Plastic crown board
  • 2 brood boxes with extra entrances
  • 1 Floor
  • 1 Varroa tray
  • 1 Entrance reducer strip

The boxes in this beehive are fitted with strips instead of spacers. This makes sliding and moving the hive frames very easy. This hive works best with simplex Hoffmann hive frames or simplex hive frames fitted with spacers. The brood boxes also feature an extra entrance. During strong nectar flows these can be opened and are eagerly used by the bees. These openings can also be closed or set to ventilation mode. This beehive is delivered ready to use, unpainted (white).
