Het suikerdeeg bestaat uit een ideale mix van suikers voor de bijen zodat ze het rustig opnemen. Het suikerdeeg is mooi vast zodat het niet uit de zak loopt. De verhouding is ongeveer 83,5% sucrose, 3% dextrose, 2% maltose, 11,5% hogere suikers. Fondabee wordt geproduceerd in België door Belgosuc onder de strenge regels voor humane consumptie. Let op: goedkopere merken hebben soms een andere verhouding. Een hoog HMF gehalte is giftig voor de bijen. Ook verkrijgbaar per stuk of per doos.
