Swarm indicator for the hive. This indicator helps you intervene in time when your hive is planning to swarm. The indicator should be attached to a flight opening about 5.5 cm by 2 cm. (This size is standard on the BeeFun polystyrene hive components with flight opening.) When the bees plan to swarm, they move energetically toward the light through the transparent tray. Under pressure from the bees, the transparent tray will fall off the tube. This is the sign that you need to take action to prevent swarming.
