Vulkan 2.0 beroker

The Vulkan 2.0 is a super sturdy black powder-coated metal smoker, equipped with a button that lets you turn it on and off (Read the accompanying manual before use).

How do you light a beroker?
Make sure you have a good ignitable base. First place a wad of paper/dried leaves/pine needles (and possibly a smoke cube) in the beroker and light it to create an open flame, which you grow with the bellows. You carefully extinguish this substantial flame with tobacco (or smoke pellets). In the beginning, keep pumping well with the bellows. Especially for smoke pellets you need a really good fire for a while. Then close the lid and pump regularly to keep the beroker going. The idea is to produce ample amounts of cool, white smoke. Do not use blue smoke, which is too hot which can lead to irritation and scorch bees' wings. The kruidentabak / rookblokjes work a little easier for beginning beekeepers.
