Smoker Medium Deluxe 26 cm

This smoker from the Deluxe series is made of stainless steel and has a diameter of 10 cm and a total height of 26 cm. The smoker is neatly finished and made of very sturdy material. This model has a fine-mesh protective grid so that the hot parts are difficult to touch. Furthermore, the bellows are made of sturdy yellow (instead of the green in the photo) artificial leather. The inside is equipped with a small grid for optimal ventilation of the fuel.

How do you light a smoker?
Ensure a good combustible base. First place a wad of paper/dried leaves/pine needles (and possibly a smoke block) in the smoker and light it so that an open flame develops, which you can grow with the bellows. Carefully extinguish this substantial flame with tobacco (or smoke pellets). Continue pumping well with the bellows in the beginning. Especially for smoke pellets, you need a really good fire to start. Then close the lid and pump regularly to keep the smoker going. The aim is to produce ample amounts of cool, white smoke. Don't use blue smoke, which is too hot and can lead to irritation and scorch the wings of the bees. The herbal tobacco / smoke blocks work a bit easier for beginning beekeepers.
