The Sublimox is a device to easily administer oxalic acid vapor in the hive. It constantly delivers the right temperature to the oxalic acid which ensures that only oxalic vapor is released and no formic acid gas is formed. The Sublimox is connected to 230V. Operation is simple, put a cover with oxalic acid upside down on the device. You now turn the device over and the vapors come out of the device. You let these mist into the hive, this takes only 25 seconds.

This Sublimox set comes complete with:

  • Heating element with handle and automatic temperature regulation
  • Two lids for administering oxalic acid
  • 3 meter cable for connection to the heating element
  • Bag or crate for transportation
  • CE certified

We recommend the use of a half gelaatsmasker when working with oxalic acid fumes and always work with the wind at your back. The Sublimox can also be connected to an inverter from 12 to 230 volts of at least 300W (to be not included!).

When using plastic cabinets or a plastic bottom, it may be useful to make a batten. In this you make a hole through which the tube of the sublimox fits exactly. You can then place this on the fly opening and this will ensure that the cabinet does not melt. Because the tube cannot touch the box.

The sublimox also works on a standard car battery 55-60Ah or more. Here you need to connect an inverter that can handle at least 300 watts. With a full battery, you then work for about an hour and a half.

Note That the cable, when using a battery, should not be longer than 10 meters. When using the battery over a longer distance, a modified (two-core) cable with thicker cores is necessary (for example, 2.5 mm2)to avoid too much voltage drop.

Notice: we recommend not using the Sublimox on hives made of EPS material, this can cause damage.
