Bee Gym (bee fitness)

The Bee Gym is a small, clever device made up of two wires and several flippers. These wires and flippers enable the bee to groom itself. The Bee Gym is placed just behind the hive entrance on the mesh of the hive/floor. The bees that walk through it will groom themselves and can also groom using the flippers. It turns out that bees will sometimes loop back for an extra groom. Grooming helps bees shed Varroa and other mites; these drop through the screened bottom board and the bee is rid of them.  Watch the video below.
