Seeds of Phacelia (Phacelia tanacetifolia). A herbaceous bee forage plant suitable for all soil types. This forage plant blooms with blue flowers. Phacelia is a true bee plant.

Phacelia is best sown in a spot in full sun; partial shade is also fine. Phacelia is very drought-tolerant and even germinates more easily in slightly drier soil compared to moist soil. The seeds germinate after about 2 weeks at about 16 degrees. After 8 weeks, Phacelia can be in bloom and then provides plenty of pollen and nectar for bees, butterflies, bumblebees and many other insects. If the plant receives sufficient moisture, a lot of nectar is produced; in drought only pollen.

Sowing period: from March to late August.
Sowing rate: 100 grams per 100 m2.
