Beautiful red cedar beehive for the dedicated hobby beekeeper. The hive features an iconic pointed roof and comes with a glass crown board so you can easily observe the bees. The hive is supplied with standard Simplex hive frames (linden wood, without beeswax foundation). The wood of the hive is red cedar.

This red cedar spaarkast (Simplex size) consists of the following components:

• 1 pointed roof for the spaarkast (Dutch-made)
• 1 glass crown board (without feeding hole)
• 2 honey supers (incl. 10‑frame aluminium spacer strips)
• 2 sets of assembled super frames made of pine

An extra roof for the red cedar spaarkast, with an aluminum cover. The roof is neatly finished. Also suitable for the pine spaarkast. A red cedar beehive can be treated with [category id=134]linseed oil varnish[/category]. This preserves its natural color and protects it against the elements.

Beautiful sloped red cedar roof for the spaarkast. The roof is finished with aluminium roofing. The roofing is folded over the corners so water sheds cleanly. The roof measures 58 x 52 cm. Under the roof there is space for a 6 L and/or 2 L feeder. The roof overlaps the brood box (brood chamber) or honey super, so it sits securely on the hive.

Honey super, made of red cedar wood, for the spaarkast beehive. Red cedar is naturally weather-resistant. This means you do not need to paint these hive components. To retain the beautiful red wood color, it is best to use linseed oil.
