Note: it can happen that the top bars of your hive frames are a millimetre too long. You can easily fix this by lightly sanding or sawing down the top bar of the frames. The maximum length for the top bar in this hive is 43.3 mm.

Painting your beehive yourself? We have blue paint for touching up or painting polystyrene beehives, in 1-litre tins. The paint has a nice blue colour; this is the same shade as the polystyrene spaarkast hives from Imkershop.

Beautiful glass crown board for the Simplex BE beehive and polystyrene BeeFun beehive. This lets you observe the bees beautifully from above. The crown board is made from float glass and CNC-ground. This means the edges are nicely rounded and, importantly, the hive tool slips under easily and the glass plate also releases easily—even when it’s completely glued down with propolis. The 6 mm-thick glass is very strong and has the ideal thickness for a crown board. Dimensions: 456 mm x 456 mm x 6 mm.
