When ordering, choose where you want the bee escape or feeding hole in the crown board. You can also choose a crown board without a feeding hole. Wood type: C/C (waterproof, unsanded, with open knots). These crown boards have a slightly less finished quality on the outside, so there may be some open knots. Which the bees will happily fill with beeswax and propolis!

Want to protect the crown board optimally against moisture? Then paint/treat only the end grain thoroughly!
